About the author…
Tim Beasley is a “baby boomer” that actually lived the popular life-style and recreation of “cruising” in a performance car back in the era of high-horsepower, great American Muscle Cars and cheap hi-test gasoline! He has written features for “Car & Driver” and many resort publications.
As a career entertainer, creating and owning his own DJ and musical celebrity tributes business since the late 1970’s, he’s been a popular “attraction entertainer” at large scale automotive events, coast to coast.
These included countless appearances for just about every brand of new American and international auto makers for their “showroom premieres” of new models, including 4 of the “Motor Trend International Auto Shows” and also for SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) the largest “automotive products” expo in the world, held annually in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
His experience in bringing the favorite rock ‘n roll music relative to the “cruisin’ scene” of the 1950’s through the 1980’s made him a popular “celebrity” at several of the largest “custom car and street rod” events in the nation, appearing and performing for 17 straight years at both “Cruisin’ Ocean City,” every May, and “Endless Summer” every October, from 1998 to 2015, in Ocean City, MD. Each individual year had over 100,000+ attendees! Plus in those years, Tim also Emceed and performed for "Cruisin Virginia Beach," also "Wild Wheels Weekend all at the Virginia Beach, VA oceanfront, plus the "Southern Fried Festival" car show at Langley Sppeedway, plus similar car shows for Black & Decker Power Tools, WalMart, B.A.E. Systems and car show fundraisers.
Also, as EMCEE, Tim interviewed on his event’s main stages, special guests "Car Stars" for movies and TV from classic “car features.”
